Are you a leader in need of a thought partner?
You're a busy leader working at the forefront of complex challenges, and traditional coaching alone won't unlock the clarity, momentum, and impact you seek.
Like a coach, I guide you to see what’s important, explore perspectives and possibilities, and build meaningful progress towards your goals.
But I also think things through with you, drawing on my experience to act as your advisor, muse, mentor, advocate, challenger, or confidant. It’s up to you.
I partner with leaders tackling meaningful problems in complex settings. I am most experienced working with Founders and Executives of early-stage startups and fast-growth scale-ups across diverse industries:
—Managing Partner, VC fund
—Founder & CEO, B2B SaaS startup
—Founder & CEO, Digital health startup
—COO, Global human rights org
—Sales Leader, B2B SaaS scale-up
—CEO, National aged-care provider
I'm an involved dad and long-time founder, leader, advisor and investor in startups that make everyday life better in tangible ways. For 25 years I've worked from day one to scale across strategy, product, GTM, fundraising and operations, including m&a, pivots and wind-downs.
I'm a generalist who specialises in finding clarity in chaos, and turning purpose into practical progress. I’ve worked across B2B SaaS, consumer apps, service marketplaces, digital distribution, health tech, in both for-profit and nfp organisations. My bias is to abundant thinking and small experiments that surface opportunities and risks over time.
I identify as neurodivergent and care about workplaces that value different ways of thinking and inclusive mental health.

If our conversation sparks mutual excitement and we’re both clear on expectations, we can embark on our first 3-month cycle, which typically includes:
Wayfinding Session: We dedicate 2-3 hours at the beginning to reflect on your situation, celebrate what’s working, and jointly define our focus for the cycle.
Regular Focus Time: You have an agreed amount of my undivided attention each week. Use it for video calls, collaboration, or anything else that supports your needs.
Continuous Contact: I'm always here for you. Offload thoughts, ask questions, request help, or simply chat. I’ll respond to your Slack messages within a business day.
Percolation: I'll think about your problems between sessions. Sometimes I'll sprinkle my thoughts, but I can also share a downpour when asked.
Each Cycle concludes with a decision: start the next cycle to maintain momentum, pause to rest and recalibrate, or move on freely. It’s up to you.
Throughout our Thought Partnership, we will work together to cultivate:
Safe space for honest reflection, open exploration, and playful experimentation.
Clear intentions for both why and how we are using our time and energy.
Mutual accountability for delivering on commitments, and showing up on time, prepared, and fully present.
Direct feedback and readiness to try new ways of working.
Ethical standards, especially regarding confidentiality and relationship boundaries.
These are just my ways of working. I look forward to hearing about yours and seeing how we can integrate them.
Imagine you're scaling a mountain.
A coach would be your seasoned guide, providing a predefined route, training you with specific exercises, and pushing you to build your strength. Valuable for sure, but the focus is on following an established path.
A Thought Partner is your fellow adventurer. They're just as excited as you about reaching the peak but will explore alongside you, trying new modes of travel, adapting to unexpected terrain, and celebrating what you discover together.
Of course, each has benefits, and some people find value in both!
Our Thought Partnership is not constrained to a specific framework. Any time you need an independent mind familiar with your context and fixated on your success, I’m here to help.
Here are some concrete examples of how I have collaborated:
Advisor: Offer perspectives on your organisation's opportunities, challenges, goals, plans, and operations, and how you might improve them.
Muse: Reframe and reimagine situations, generate ideas, and surface opportunities for experimentation.
Advocate: Plot ways to champion your ideas, protect your interests, and drive outcomes in complex and dynamic situations.
Challenger: Provide brutally honest yet constructive feedback, fuelling clearer thinking, informed decisions, and impactful communications.
Confidant: Hold space and bear witness, as you articulate and make sense of thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
Remember: I’m not accredited in any specialist field. I’m not a lawyer, accountant, doctor or mental health professional.
Forget progress charts. You’ll know our Thought Partnership is working when:
Your world explodes with possibilities and connections. It feels like you’re wearing mental X-ray goggles.
"Aha!" moments become part of your morning routine. Ideas or solutions you couldn't grasp before suddenly click into place.
Tough challenges become exciting puzzles. You feel drawn to unravel them with playful curiosity.
Mental clutter clears, making space for confidence and creativity. You feel lighter, freer, and more ready to be fully present.
You might be interested in my Free Office Hours, in which I dedicate 30 minutes daily to explore a question with anyone. I will try to ask good questions and do not expect anything from you other than showing up.
I am happy to coordinate Thought Partnerships through companies, and to send invoices to whoever will pay them. However, I only work under the instruction of the leaders I partner with.
The short answer is: I’m flexible.
I can work with you effectively via video calls anywhere in the world. Working remotely helps me capture things as we go, so we don’t drop any golden threads as the conversation evolves.
If we’re within easy reach of each other, I’m happy to mix in some face-to-face. I am a big fan of in-person, especially when it comes to human connection and collaborating on gnarly problems.
I’m happy to meet you in the platforms where you’re comfortable, but my defaults are:
Google Meet for video calls (audio-only is fine if you prefer)
Slack for back-and-forth
Email for deep, long-form messaging
Notion or Google for documents
